The First Bulldog I did as part of MAKE/100.

#1 Diego

8"x10"

mixed media on wooden panel

I used Micron pens (archival ink) to make the very detailed drawing in black, then added a warm earth color with Faber Castell PITT artist pen and white highlights with GAMBLIN Titanium white oil paint.

Really love the result!
I suggest framing this piece in a wide flat black frame with a thin gold liner to highlight the honey warmness of his eyes.

Psst... Check my Instagram accaunt: IGRINART - for more details on the "Make 100 French bulldogs" project progress.

Make 100 French Bulldogs

Yes! I went crazy
and committed to create 100 French Bulldog* inspired Art Pieces till the end of the year 2017. (*I included Boston Terriers, Pugs and Pigs in this project, because of obvious similarities)
All the paintings will be on sale during the following month. Limited edition signed giclee prints are also available!

Vanessa in oil

Brought my newly purchased Plein Air easel and oils to the Sketch Club. How about that - I'm sketching with oils now.
